Sole DXB, a community for avid sneaker enthusiasts will launch on the 24 February 2011 with an event at thejamjar, which will explore several arts that influence and are influenced by sneaker culture, including music, skateboarding and photography.
Held in conjunction with Collaborare, Sole DXB is a platform created by three sneaker enthusiasts, Hussain Moloobhoy, Joshua Cox and Kris Balerite, through which sneaker buffs all over the U.A.E can communicate, share opinions and inspirations, and set new trends for the region.
The event will feature numerous local and international artists showcasing their works which reflect sneaker culture including, live graffiti from f-rock and limited edition hand screen prints from artists including Ubiq, Dozign, Mad Ink and the Brown Monkeys and more. Dubai based artist and toy designer, robotandspark, will reveal his new collection of work.
There will also be live performances by Beat Antenna, The Recipe, Noush like Sploosh and Dj Lobito.
Visitors can also enjoy the Middle East’s debut screening of the documentary ‘The Mystery of Flying Kicks’. The documentary is a heavily anticipated film that has won a plethora of awards at Brooklyn, Sheffield and Melbourne International Film Festivals.
The highly anticipated networking event by Sole DXB is powered by Puma in partnership with Collaborare. The event is supported by Nike,DC, Nooka, Element, Vans, Adidas, Zulu nation, Wrist , TheZooConcept & Adidas Originals and more.
